The Door to Better Design

The Cascadia’s door design is a perfect example of how Freightliner is building trucks that meet your demanding needs and lifestyle. Our unique, heavy-duty style door opens one inch wider and is five percent taller than its closest competitors for easy entry and exit of the cab. And once you close the door, the double-seal design on the door and frame reduces outside noise, increases interior comfort and makes life on the road a peaceful experience.

Precise Handling

Throw away conventional thinking on how trucks feel when you drive them, because the Cascadia is more comfortable and easier to drive than any truck in the market today. Its 50-degree wheel cut and optional rack and pinion steering give you exceptional handling and control at the wheel. Add the Cascadia’s superior engineering and balanced design characteristics and you have an incredibly responsive truck that is ready to tackle the tight turns and twisty roads that you face every day.

Mirrors that Reflect Innovative Design

The Cascadia’s new mirrors provide you with an expansive field of vision, firm stability and minimized vibration for an added measure of safety. These durable, pedestal-mounted mirrors with easy-to-replace glass are also designed to fold forward, or back, to reduce damage if they’re hit. Heated mirrors and standard left and right remote controls let you stay in your truck cab on those frosty mornings and help to make the Cascadia a more enjoyable driving environment.

Fuel-Efficient Power

The Cascadia’s combination of power and fuel-efficiency lets you demand it all. With the newly designed Detroit Diesel DD15, the Cascadia can get up to five percent better fuel economy than with the Series 60 engine helping improve your profitability mile after mile. And because the DD15 delivers 90 percent of its available power in 1.5 seconds, you can enjoy the on-demand power you want with the efficiency you need.

Ultra-Smooth Ride

The Cascadia offers an advanced cab suspension system that levels your turns, smooths your ride, enhances your comfort and prevents fatigue. Plus, the extensive insulation throughout the cab and sleeper take you to a whole new level of quiet that you’ll appreciate mile after mile.

Style that Delivers

One look at the Cascadia and you know that everything has changed. From its bold grille and headlights, to its sloped hood and wide, all-aluminum aerodynamic cab, the Cascadia’s revolutionary design delivers the benefits you need to improve your bottom line. Engineered from the ground up with input from drivers like you, the Cascadia is a new design for a whole new era in smart trucking.

Jake Brake

The integrated Jacobs Brake on the DD15 makes braking easier, and quieter, than ever. The compression brake kicks in three stages, depending on the grade, acting on two, four, or all six cylinders. Because it is built into the DD15 from the beginning, it is so quiet, you’ll barely hear it. Also, because it was designed as a permanent piece of the engine, parts replacement is a breeze compared to the old Series 60. The DD15’s Jacobs Brake lets you run quiet, smooth and smart.

Simple Instrument Layout

The Cascadia features an automotive-style, wrap-around dash that places switches and controls within easy reach. This driver-friendly environment includes a column mounted wiper/turn signal/high beam switch and steering wheel controls that contain everything you need to keep your eyes on the road and the truck safely in your command.

Overall Driving Experience

Simply stated, the Cascadia was designed with long-haul truckers in mind. With a wide, comfortable cab, superb visibility, great handling characteristics and quiet comfort at every turn, it’s no surprise that the Cascadia is the smarter choice for better business and lifestyle. No detail was spared in developing a truck that is not only “fun to drive,” but also fulfills drivers’ needs for livability, safety and efficiency.

Best-in-Class Seat

The Cascadia provides the ultimate in seating experience for drivers and passengers. Cascadia seats are the widest in the industry, offer generous belly room, and are easily adjusted and optionally heated. Plus, the wide cab allows more room between the seats and better access to the sleeper area. You’re guaranteed to appreciate the increased comfort and reduced driver fatigue that come standard with the Cascadia.

Expansive Interior

The Cascadia’s cab is the widest and tallest in the industry. One step inside and you'll be awestruck by its spacious interior. The full stand-up room at the front of the cab allows you to enter and exit without bumping your head. Once you’ve made it back to the vast and open sleeper area you’ll find yourself in the lap of luxury with room to roam and comfort at your beck and call.

Convenient Storage

The Freightliner Cascadia features some of the most innovative, and ample, storage in the industry. No matter where you look in the cab or sleeper, you'll find roomy storage that makes life on the road a whole lot more convenient. The cabinets are strong, attractive and built to keep rattles and vibrations to a minimum for years to come. And since many of the storage compartments feature 12-volt DC plugs, you’re sure to stay plugged-in to your personal life and charged-up about your trucking business.

Better Visibility

The Cascadia is designed for easy driving and excellent visibility. For instance, its low dash and sloped hood provide an expansive view of the road ahead. Its two-piece windshield is 25 percent larger than previous models. And don’t forget the Cascadia’s broad mirror coverage and new, bright headlight system. The improved visibility and light distribution helps you stay safe and focused on the world around you.
